The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking eleven (11) individuals for the position of Warehouseman in the Property Accountability and Warehousing section (PAW).

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The incumbent is responsible for retrieving non-expendable property from the stock, and for moving furniture and equipment from warehouse to housing units and offices. H/she performs residence make-ready and ensures that the residence is ready for occupancy, performs other general warehouse function duties as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

1. Completion of elementary school is required.

2. Minimum six months to one year (1) of warehouseman experience or an equivalent combination of warehouseman and laborer experience is required.

3. Level II (limited knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing English and Level III (good working knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing Bahasa Indonesia is required.

4. Must have knowledge of assembling and disabling of office furniture. Must be able to learn locations of various types of supply items and property items, and learn to recognize items by sight and from oral description and verbal request.

5. Must be able to perform moderately heavy work and lifting. Must be able to lift items weighing up to 20 kg.
