The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking an individual
for the position of Janitorial Supervisor with position number C52-230 in the Facilities
Maintenance Unit.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The incumbent serves as the supervisor of group of
janitors/char force with responsibilities of the cleanliness and tidiness of
the offices, offices furniture/appliances, bath rooms, public areas, parking
lots, etc. H/she serves as the supervisor of other janitorial/char force
general services to the chancery and other facilities on the chancery Compound
(pouch delivery, stock material delivery to users, material/equipments transit
organizer, CAA screening required material coordinator, etc). H/she also acts
as liaison officer to coordinates events at Chancery/Embassy compound that
required manpower assistance; official events such as press conference,
tele-conference at PAS auditorium, etc; social events such as blood donor, medical
fairs, Flu/Hepatitis or other shot/fascine events, American Independence, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All
applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific
and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Completion of High School is required.
2. Minimum of two (2) years in supervisory position. One
(1) or two (2) years in customer services field is required.
3. Level III (limited knowledge) in reading/speaking/writing
in English and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia are required.
4. Must have good working knowledge of people management
skill, effective supervision skills, advance communication skills and excellent
customer service skills.
5. Must possess in-depth knowledge of cleaning/sanitary techniques,
must be able to coordinate a staff schedule, and must be able to provide thoughtful
and relevant work-related advice and guidance.
6. Must be proficient in computer applications i.e.
Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail. Must be capable of lifting up to 20 kgs, and
be familiar with security and safety equipment.
